Today we took Hudson to the Dentist to get his choppers polished. He went back all by himself, because apparently he's big enough to do so... :( when exactly did that happen? They cleaned his teeth well and said that his teeth look good. The only concern they have is with his underbite- which will probably require some orthadontic work in the next few years. I wonder how we'll be able to afford it.
But he had a good time, and got to pick a prize from the treasure chest. He looked at a pencil and then put it down because "it doesn't have a tip on it". When I explained that it needs to be sharpened before it gets a tip he decided to take it home after all.
Grandma Griffin bought Hudson a bank with a section for tithing- so for Family Home Evening tonight, we'll be doing a lesson on tithing. He hasn't paid tithing yet, but since he is almost 5 (YIKES!) he thinks it's time he started. So tonight we will practice finding out what 10% is and we'll use his bank and show him how to fill out a tithing slip. Should be fun.
I am thankful that he's learning the gospel and that he enjoys family home evenings!

UPDATES! With Pictures!!!
Ok- mostly just pictures. Hudson is doing well, besides the fact that he had a nasty cold. He now mostly over the cough and boogies... The new humidifier we bought seems to help. He is getting more and more excited about becoming a big brother. He sings to my belly and blows it kisses, and talks to his brother. The baby wiggles when Hudson puts his hand on my belly and talks to him. (Baby refuses to move when Jason tries... Jason is starting to say he doesn't think there is a baby in there... I must be up to something... LOL)
Ok- Here are the pics. I will try to annotate as much as possible. :)

Hudson making Christmas Cookies at Head start!

Hudson had a great Christmas. He was actually more excited about his Lighting McQueen Pajamas than he was about anything else. He really loved all of his gifts, and has had a great time playing with all of them.
This morning was his first day back at Sharon's house and he was a little hesitant because he's had such fun with mom and dad during the break, but he's missed his friends and the routine he has there too.
Last night, I succumbed to Hudson's pleas to watch Spiderman on dvd. We've had it for a while but hadn't gotten around to actually watching it. (Again, this is a pictureless post for the time being, but I will have to include some photos of this) He was literally climbing the walls after. And pointing "I love you" signs at us and going "pchew!" like he was shooting webs. After scrambling against the living room wall for a while, he turned and said, "My fingers aren't sticky enough, mom. Maybe if I got a spiderman costume with sticky gloves I could climb up!"
He's also become really good at the "Oh my gosh!" face, after he tells you something cool he'll drop his mouth open really wide and his eyes will get all big and he'll incline his head, just so, and wait for you to react the same way.
I love my son.

Long Past Due
So, I am a bit of a blog stalker, I'll admit it. I love to check and recheck the blogs of people I love, and admire, and I get stinkin' irritated when they don't update... Then I look at my blogs and feel woefully ashamed.
To remedy this I am updating, and will update more often. (How many times have I promised you this?)
October-
21st- 31st: Hudson turned 4! I can hardly believe that I have such a big boy! Grandpa and Grandma Griffin came to visit and we had a great time. That Saturday, Hudson had his birthday party at the bowling alley with his friends. For Halloween Hudson was a giraffe. I figured it was the last year I could pick something out that is cute before he'll want monsters or something. But he also got a skelton Hoodie from Walmart, and took great delight in running through the store terrorizing the shoppers, while I tried to chase him, laughing so hard I had to stop every few feet so I wouldn't lose bladder control. He got tons of candy and had a lot of fun
November- Hudson is doing really well in Head Start. He got terrific scores on his LAP tests, and gets along well with his friends. He loves his Teachers. I get to go almost every friday to volunteer in his classroom and I enjoy myself alot.
For Thanksgiving we got to travel to see my grandma in Idaho. We stayed at my cousin's house and had a fantastic time there. Hudson did really well on the long drive. His favorite part was seeing the "ghost on the mountain" which is really "Our lady of the Mountain," a huge statue on the mountain in Butte, MT. At night it is all lit up. On the way home, Hudson looked out of his window and shouted, "She waved at me!!!" It was cute
December: So far. Hudson is really excited to be a big brother in April. We have finally made the announcement to all our friends and family, and Hudson couldn't be more eager to help when his brother is born. I am nervous, but I know things will work out... They always do. We will have to come up with a way to have the two boys share a room, and that will be interesting. We'll have to see how it goes.
Pictures are to come, as soon as I can manage. :)
